Hello ✿

Welcome to my online journal! I post about basically whatever I want and I get away with it too! Come hang out!

Owling Adventure and More

Yesterday was a really great day for me, the morning was slow and we made a huge breakfast and made a solid but fun plan for how the next year will go with graduation and all that. Also my not knowing how to drive. I signed up for driving school! I'm a little nervous, esp with all the snow on the ground but if everyone else can do it, I can too! Anyways, my yesterday pics!

My first pic is of this suspicious mag a neighbor got. As of 7:30 ish this morning it was still there. It is Adrien Brody for New York magazine.

I'm not sure if I want this full resolution pic of him on my blog but here we are. I am a bit put off because I don't associate his roles with idk sexiness? I guess? Which is what "shirtless man" is supposed to invoke. But maybe The Brutalist is looking for the kind of attention Babygirl and all these super trendy sexy movies that have been coming out all 2024 and now 2025.

Anyways here we are in the car by the snowy airport looking for snowy owls. We drove and did some looking from the fence but got super distracted by a report of Short eared owls which the bf and I had both seen, him much more than me (he is The Birder), just not very clear. Often looking closer to twilight than midday for a totally valid reason I do not know.

According to some photographers we totally drove past the snowy on top of a super tall tower but in my opinion that is totally fine. We saw the short ear and got a million pics through the scope!!!!!!

Here it is!!! Totally baba (cute or baby). Posed in every way a seated owl can, looking around, giving us over the shoulder and profile options to chose from. A natural born model. I just had such an incredible time. We also saw a hawk but I didn't make an ebird checklist about it bc I forgot.

Then we drove (and missed an exit) to this little area where there were shrike reports also a totally baba bird but also known for being scrappy. Owls are pretty viscous too but they come with being bigger and having a lot of extra tools built in, I like how hard shrikes work. We didn't see any but the little path we walked on was very nice.

Part of the reason was this was the ideal time of day to be in a big open field and look at vast sky.

Also lots of snow walking. I finally have good snow walking shows so I was looking for as much untouched snow as I could walk on.

Here is a great pic with the moon in it! There was some water where in warmer times there might be ducks which is a krill fav. I love ducks the most they are very darling to me.

Here is some weird thrift store art from the Liverpool Thrifty Shopper. I have a few pics of this because I was too tired to really get into thrifting so I kind of museumed it.

This is the real highlight. Its not just a Minecraft painted wood burning but it is a Lego Minecraft painted wood burning and to me it totally breaks both Minecraft and Lego logic. I think it is really a masterpiece and if I had a 12 year old brother still maybe I would get it for him.

The final masterpiece I saw was this steampunk elephant. Would love to see this styled in someone's home honestly.
That is all for all my photos. If I have any other thoughts I think i will just make a separate post so I stop having half my photo posts be part life update. Just for organization sake.
Bye!!πŸ’₯
