Today I went to the Met, only cost me $2 bc I'm on my home turf. I will be posting a zine of the experience and explaining a lot about the art I saw but for now I want to do a little list of things I observed. In no particular order.
- A woman with two straw cowboy hats on top of each other
- A baby with the biggest black eyes, like impossibly cartoonish and cute
- A group of people about my age with one girl with bangs who was acting as tour guide (me?!)
- Tried so hard to avoid a guy trying to talk to me that I jaywalked over Smith by Borough Hall
- My old boss (Carrol) working at the Anthropologie that opened on Atlantic, several blocks from my house
- 1000 pigeons
- A woman on the train who ran into an old friend. While my music refused to play, I learned all the details of her toxic on-and-off relationship with her ex. The 4 train kept stopping for minutes at a time so I really got all the details
- A guy who just was So Boston also listening to this woman's life story
- There is a Dick Wolf gallery at the Met of medieval art. Thank you Dick Wolf.
- The beautiful brick homes of Brooklyn Heights!!!!
- There's about one million French tourists on the Upper East Side
Okay that's all I got for you right now.
