Just got back from a crazy weekend in the Adirondacks to look at birds (with great success!). The biggest highlight was feeding black-capped chickadees and Canada jays with unsalted peanuts in my palm. They have sharp little toes but they were pretty careful with me. Did not see any moose, though we watched a snowshoe hare wander down the middle of a truck-heavy road...
I've been reading Nekojiru comics and they're just a bit too dark for me. But three pages KILLED me. They're just not as funny to anyone I've shown them to, but when I saw them the first time, I had to be excused from the library desks I was sitting at.
I don't have too much going on otherwise, The Boyfriend is visiting and he got a little sick. I'm obsessed with the idea of cooking but I haven't made any steps towards finding recipes or anything. I am feeling very creative so perhaps my next update will be something super cool. The Roommate has been sewing up an Illustration seniors blanket made of community-provided granny squares, which means I'm surrounded by creative long projects and maybe I need to make a real plan!
I had an old list of "project ideas" but I never used it and it's a little dated so maybe I will try again. I'm basically the queen of forgetting that there are things I can do and have been meaning to do, probably why it takes me so long to finish a book. I just forget they're a thing...
Before I start ranting, I think I am going to log off and find something fun to do instead of spiraling about having productive fun...
